Light Up the Night in Mt. Crested Butte – A Community Celebration!

As winter settles into our beloved Crested Butte, there’s no better way to embrace the holiday spirit than at the annual Light Up the Night event in Mt. Crested Butte! This cherished tradition returns on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 4–7 PM at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square Plaza. 

Whether you’re new to the area or you’ve called Crested Butte home for decades, this free, family-friendly event captures the heart of our close-knit mountain community. 

What to Expect

The evening is packed with activities that will delight kids and adults alike. Highlights include:

• Live Music: Enjoy festive tunes to set the mood.
• Menorah and Christmas Lightings: Celebrate the season with a dazzling display of lights.
• Photos with the Snow Queen and Santa: Capture those precious holiday memories.
• Cookie Decorating and Arts & Crafts: Perfect for little ones (and big kids at heart).
• Face Painting: Add a little sparkle to your look.
• Firetruck Bucket Rides: A unique mountain-town experience!
• Hot Cocoa Bar: Warm up with a steaming cup of cocoa as you enjoy the festivities.

Feeling hungry? Food and beverages, including alcohol, will be available for purchase at A Bar Above and Tin Cup.
