Summer is in full swing in the mountains
From wildflower festivals and live music to outdoor adventures and local traditions, July is one of the most exciting times to experience Crested Butte at its colorful and lively best.

Join the local tradition as decorated floats, bands, community groups, and families line up for a festive procession down historic Elk Avenue. Expect patriotic music, friendly competition, and the town’s signature water fight finale. It is a joyous morning when Crested Butte comes together to celebrate community pride and summer’s arrival.
Kick off the holiday early with live music, food, drinks, kids' activities, and a vibrant mountain atmosphere. The night wraps up with a fireworks show lighting up the slopes—one of the best displays of the summer.
For over 30 years, Alpenglow has brought the community together with free outdoor concerts set against the stunning backdrop of Crested Butte Mountain.
