Winter is far from over in Crested Butte! With 172 inches of snow so far this season, the powder days keep coming, and March is always an incredible month to be in Crested Butte. Here’s what’s happening this month!
March Happenings:
March 4th, KBUT Mardi Gras Parade at Elk Avenue and Mallardi Theater. Celebrate Mardi Gras in Crested Butte! The parade rolls down Elk Ave at 5 PM, with live music at Mallardi Theatre after.
March 4th, Trivia Nights at the Museum: Test Your Knowledge in Crested Butte at Crested Butte Museum from 5:00 – 7:00. Recurring every Tuesday of the month.
March 5th, Historic Elk Ave Walking Tours: Learn about the history of Elk Ave/Crested Butte at Crested Butte Museum from 2:00 – 3:00
March 6th, ICELab Movie Night at Majestic Theater from 6:330 – 9:00
March 6th, I Love You Because: A Modern Day Musical Love Story at Mallardi Theater from 7:00 – 9:30. Catch this witty musical, inspired by Pride and Prejudice, which follows four New Yorkers navigating love and surprises on weekends from March 6–29!

March 8th and 22nd, Ski Town Breakdown at Butte 66 Patio from 3:30 – 5:00
March 8th, Pinnacle Orthopedics Community Race: Biathlon Infrared Rifle Sprint. The Biathlon Infrared Rifle Sprint at The Bench features skate-style sprint races for adults and kids. Part of the Pinnacle Orthopedics Community Races, it’s a fun way to compete, earn points, and challenge yourself!
March 12th, Wine Seminar: Alpine Wines at Center for the Arts from 6:00 – 8:00. As part of the Crested Butte Wine + Food Festival’s extended programming, this event explores high-altitude wines from Italy, Switzerland, and France through guided tastings and lively discussions.

March 29th and 30th, Grand Traverse at Crested Butte Nordic. The Grand Traverse is a legendary 40-mile ski race from Crested Butte to Aspen, climbing 6,800 feet through the Elk Mountains.
