June in Crested Butte brings the start of wildflower season and a busy summer. Our favorite music series are back this month, along with plenty of community events and local happenings to enjoy.
June Happenings:
June 2nd, Trivia Night at Crested Butte Museum at 7:00
June 3rd and 4th, The String Cheese Incident at Center for the Arts at 7:15. One of Crested Butte’s favorite summer traditions, bringing energetic live music, longtime fans, and unforgettable nights to the valley.
June 5th, 3rd Annual GVC3 Film Festival at Majestic Theater at 6:00. A thoughtful community evening featuring inspiring films, local voices, and meaningful conversations about caring for our planet together.
June 6th, Crested Butte Bazaar at Crested Butte 4-Way Stop from 9:00 - 3:00
June 11th, HCCA Happy Hour at The Eldo from 5:30 - 7:00. A casual community gathering focused on conservation, local conversations, and protecting the public lands that make this valley so special.
June 11th, Pride Film at Majestic Theater from 7:00 - 9:00
June 12th, Friday Night Fish Fry at Crank’s Plaza from 4:00 - 10:00. One of Crested Butte’s favorite community gatherings, featuring live music, Cajun food, lawn games, and a fun summer evening together.

Market Conditions
May brought a mixed but active market for Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte, with inventory continuing to build while prices remained strong across both property types.
For single-family homes, new listings in May were down compared to last year, yet year-to-date only had a slight decrease. Sales activity, both in May and year-to-date, remained unchanged. The average sales price has increased, pointing to a higher percentage of luxury sales. Homes took longer to sell, but inventory and months of supply both increased, giving buyers more choices than they had a year ago.
Condos and Townhomes had a strong month and year-to-date with higher sales and a higher average sales price. The number of new listings has increased, giving buyers more choices, which is great news, as demand is still high in this market.
Alpenglow Concert Series
For over 30 years, this free outdoor concert series has brought live music, mountain views, and community gatherings to Town Park every Monday evening from mid-June through mid-August. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnic snacks, and enjoy local food vendors, cocktails, and live performances surrounded by the beauty of Crested Butte. Curious who’s playing this summer? Music on the Mountain Free Concert Series
Taking place Wednesday evenings from June 24 through August 12 at the Red Lady Stage in Mt. Crested Butte, this free concert series brings live music, mountain views, and community gatherings to the lawn all summer long. Bring camp chairs and blankets, enjoy food and drinks during the show, and settle in for one of Crested Butte’s favorite midweek summer traditions.
