September in Gunnison is a great time to be outside. The evenings cool off, live music is happening all over town, and the first signs of fall start to show. It’s the perfect month to catch a show, enjoy the Harvest Festival, or just take in the changing season.

September 3rd - 4th, Gold Basin Wet Meadow Restoration Project at Hartman Rocks Recreation Area from 8:30 - 3:00
September 4th, Live Music at Garlic Mike’s at 5:30. Six nights left to enjoy live music at Garlic Mike’s, every Thursday to Saturday through September 13th.
September 5th - 27th, Decked Out Punk Fest & Skateboard Art Fundraiser at Gunnison Arts Center. Skateboard art, live punk music, and a full dose of local creativity all in one place.
September 5th, Wookstock at I Bar Ranch from 6:00 - 11:30
September 6th, Gunnison Farmers Market at downtown Gunnison from 9:30 - 1:00. Recurring every Saturday until October 18th.
September 13th, Easy Jim, Music of the Grateful Dead at I Bar Ranch from 7:00 - 10:30
September 17th, Gunnison Harvest Festival at Buckel Family Wine from 4:00 - 7:00. Celebrate the season with grape stomping, local wine, good food, and plenty of fall fun at the winery.
September 20th, Hispanic Heritage Celebration with Chimbangle at I Bar Ranch from 7:00 - 10:00
September 25th, Wine Glass Painting at Buckel Family Wine from 5:30 - 7:30
September 27th, Annual GAC Gala at Gunnison Arts Center from 6:00 - 11:30. An elegant night of music, food, and community set under the stars to support the arts in the Gunnison Valley.

Market Conditions
Year-to-date, Gunnison’s single-family home market has been steady with more sales compared to last year, even though the average price has come down some. Buyers continue to be active, especially when a property is well-priced, but they also have more time to weigh their options. Condos and townhomes have been a bright spot with sales up significantly and prices holding steady. This tells us there is healthy demand across different price points, giving both buyers and sellers opportunities to make a move with confidence.
