August in Gunnison
August is already here and there’s still so much to enjoy in Gunnison. From live music and family-friendly events to rodeo nights and good food, it’s a great time to be out and about. Here are a few things happening around town this month.

August 15th - 16th, Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs Performance at Gunnison Arts Center. Enjoy a charming musical performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, brought to life by local youth after a week of rehearsals with Missoula Children’s Theatre.
August 16th, Bull Fest at Gunnison County Fairgrounds from 4:00 - 10:00. Celebrate 20 years of Gunnison Tough with an action-packed evening of bull riding, freestyle bull fighting, live country music by John King, dancing, food trucks, and fun for the kids.

August 23rd, SunniGunni Art Market at Gunnison Arts Center from 10:30 - 4:30. Celebrate creativity and community at this lively pop-up market featuring up to 20 local artists, live music, drinks, hand-poke tattoos, and a festive vibe.

August 23rd, Gunnison Valley Triathlon. Join the 13th Annual Gunnison Valley Triathlon for a fun, family-friendly race featuring a swim, bike, and run course for both kids and adults.

August 30th - 31st, A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Quigley Bandshell on WCU campus at 6:00.
Live Music:
August 1st, Live Music at Garlic Mikes at 5:30. Enjoy 14 nights of live music this month at Garlic Mike’s, with performances every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Relax by the river, sip your favorite drink, and take in the sounds of summer.

Market Conditions
Gunnison’s single-family market saw more closings year-to-date, with sales up 40% from last year and new listings up 17%. The average sales price has dropped 24%.
The condo and townhome market also saw an increase in the number of sales, with a year-to-date jump of 45%, yet the sales price remained steady.

20th Annual Bull Fest 2025
The 20th Annual Bull Fest brings an action-packed evening to the Gunnison County Fairgrounds with bull riding, freestyle bull fighting, live music by John King, food trucks, bars, and country dancing. Kids ages 4 to 14 can join the Barnyard Olympics. Proceeds benefit Tough Enough to Wear Pink and Wrangler Bucking Cancer. Click HERE for tickets and full event details.
