Market Conditions

Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte - August 2026 data

The single-family home market remains healthy, but buyers are becoming more selective. More homes came on the market this July than a year ago, giving buyers additional options, and inventory remains higher than last year. While homes are still selling, they're generally staying on the market longer as buyers carefully compare properties before making a decision. Even with that slower pace, home values have remained remarkably strong this year, helped by continued activity in the luxury market.

The condo and townhome market is telling a similar story. New listings increased significantly this July, giving buyers an even wider selection of properties to consider. Sales have remained steady overall, and prices continue to trend upward despite the additional inventory. The market is becoming more balanced, giving buyers more opportunities while sellers continue to benefit from healthy demand.
