Market Conditions

July 2026 in CB - Market Conditions

June brought a steady market for Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte's single-family homes. Fewer new listings came to market compared to last year, but sales activity held firm with slightly more homes selling year-to-date. The biggest story continues to be pricing, with the average sales price climbing significantly, largely driven by activity in the luxury market. Buyers are taking more time to make decisions, but well-positioned homes are still finding buyers.

Condos and townhomes continue to be one of the busiest segments of the market. More properties have come on the market this year, giving buyers additional options, while sales have continued to outpace last year's year-to-date. Prices also continued to rise, showing that demand remains healthy despite the increase in inventory. For buyers who struggled with limited choices over the past few years, this added inventory is a welcome shift.

Crested Butte 4th of July Parade & Celebration

Taking place on July 4th along historic Elk Avenue, Crested Butte's annual Fourth of July celebration is one of Colorado's most beloved small-town traditions. The morning begins with parade festivities featuring local businesses, families, community groups, creative floats, and classic vehicles making their way through downtown. After the parade, the celebration continues with a community block party featuring food, music, and activities throughout town. More details HERE.
